About

Published by Texas Pundit

Howdy!  This here’s the Texas Pundit.  I wasn’t born in Texas, but I got here as quick as I could at age 5.  Been here and darn near everywhere since then.  High School, then College, got married, joined the Army, went to grad school, had a daughter, moved around a bit, taught at the college and university level, became a widower, re-married, decided to blog!

I’m a baseball fan, tolerate football (which is odd in Texas where football is king) and other than the Spurs and the Celtics don’t know much about basketball.  I’m an independent but a conservative one.  Have voted for both Republicans and Democrats and have been ashamed of both at various times.  I seldom cuss, but once in a while I’ll let loose a blue streak!

I don’t much have a comment policy other than treat each other nice!  If you wouldn’t say it around your grandma, don’t say it here!

This is my blog and I rule here with an iron fist.  Don’t like it?  Get your own blog then!  At any rate, welcome and have at it.

In all curiousness who were you for? Huckabee? Ron Paul? I loved Huckabee’s idea of tax reform, and what he did for education in his state.

I didn’t really see anybody I was for. Huckabee was a fraud for the most part to my way of thinking. I kinda liked Thompson but he was a flash in the pan and didn’t have anything really to say. Romney was a prettyboy, Giuliani had no chance and the only thing he did absolutely right was 9/11 but other than that? I just don’t know. I do like Palin but then she represents a fresh face that has the intellect to learn. It’s up to the voters now!
